From Cap Negret in the north down through Sant Antoni's Sunset Strip, around the Bay of Sant Antoni to Cala de Bou, and then south past Cala Comte and Cala Tarida — every cove on this stretch faces directly into the western Mediterranean. Each venue has its own personality. This guide ranks the eight that matter most in 2026, with a note on what each is best for.

On the SOUTH side of Bay of Sant Antoni — same iconic sea as Café del Mar and Mambo, but on the calm, residential coast. Direct sunset views over the bay and Sa Conillera island from the terrace. Open every day 09:00–01:00 (full kitchen + bar). Family-friendly, dog-friendly, occasionally dolphins. Reservations recommended for prime tables.
Walking distance from Sofía. Two beaches side-by-side, view of S'Illa des Bosc (Forest Island) where the sun drops. Live music every night, market stalls, late-bar crowd. Authentic Cala de Bou institution.
Overlooking Cala Tarida — long white-sand beach, calm bay. Minimalist all-white aesthetic, full restaurant, beach pool, sunset DJ. Pricier than the average sunset bar; the spot for a polished, slow afternoon-into-evening.
Beachfront restaurant on Cala Codolar, looking directly at the islet of S'Illa des Bosc — the same islet Sofía's terrace sees on the horizon. Calm, family, traditional Spanish menu. The sun drops over the islet itself.
Arrive 60–90 minutes before sunset. Tables at Sunset Strip venues fill 1–2 hours ahead in summer. At Sofía we recommend booking the terrace tables for prime sunset 60 min ahead.
Sofía sits on Carrer des Caló, Cala de Bou — the south rim of Bay of Sant Antoni. Same sea you watch from Café del Mar, just on the other shore. From the terrace, the sun drops directly across the bay toward Sa Conillera island. The kitchen is open every day 09:00–01:00. Brazilian-Mediterranean menu, fresh caipirinhas, kids welcome, dogs welcome, free parking. Sometimes — with luck — dolphins.
